**At this time, we are accepting new clients that are looking for year round maintenance. Spring/Summer refreshes will have an added 25% Fall Refresh Deposit.  One-time or annual jobs may be considered based on our current availability.

Consult

An initial meeting at your home is designed to define your needs, see the space you intend “to contain” and get a sense of your style and plant preferences. This is usually about one hour.  The cost of this consultation is $120 and will be credited toward the final invoice for clients who choose to have us complete the work.

If you desire, we will create an estimate for the job.  Once you accept the estimate and agree to have us move forward with the project,  we start the design process.

Design

We design a “plant palette”:  A selection of plants based on your preferences that is best suited to the growing conditions of your space, your style, and desired level of maintenance.  We will email you a document including photos and descriptions of the main specimens, for your approval.

Plant Selection

We hand select all of our plants, often visiting several wholesalers and retail nurseries in order to get the right collection of plants for you.  Occasionally the design changes based on what looks best at our nurseries, but it will always be in keeping with your preferences.

Install

The installation process includes setting up of pots, filters and soil, arrangement of plants to showcase them at their best, clean up, and watering.

Maintainance

Year round maintenance ensures a seasonally changing and beautiful container garden.  We pinch, prune, fertilize and refresh seasonal color on a scheduled basis, usually two to four times per year.   Please refer to our maintenance contract option in the FAQs page.

Fee Structure

Our fee structure simply consists of our hourly wage plus plant and material costs.

Our hourly fee is $100 for the both of us.   Our labor typically involves the following:

  • Meeting time in person or by phone to discuss the project (as needed)
  • Additional estimates (as needed)
  • Design of the plant palette and creation of photo documents sent via email
  • Container sourcing, pickup, and delivery (as needed)
  • Plant sourcing and selection
  • Installation
  • Transportation

Any additional sub contractors needed for your install will charge their own fees through us, which will differ by person and job.  This is a pass through expense and is never inflated.

Plant and material costs typically include the following:

  • Containers
  • Plants
  • Soil filters
    • Filters are placed inside the container over each drainage hole.  They filter the soil from coming out of the bottom of the pot during watering, which reduces staining of decks and patio surfaces.
  • Pot Risers
    • Small risers are placed under each container to help with air circulation and drainage.
  • Soil
    • Containers are filled from bottom to top with high quality organic potting soil.  Please do not fill the bottom of your containers with any other material such as rocks or styrofoam peanuts.  You will have to remove everything before proceeding.

Design Only Fee:

For clients that want only to utilize our design and consultation services, we charge $150 per hour, which begins with the initial site visit.  We will design and create a plant palette for your space and email you a document detailing the specific plants.  If you desire, we can also hand select and deliver your plants to you.
