This spring, an artist living in West Seattle asked us to revamp her deck.  She lives in a great mid century modern home overlooking Puget Sound, and the few plastic pots living on her deck just didn’t do it justice.  Her request?  Lush container gardens with a modern feel, and no flowers!  We placed six rectangular fiber cement containers (one of our favorite styles) on her deck and filled them with lush foliage of varying textures and blue-green hues.  Phormium and Pinus ‘blue shag’ were centerpieces, surrounded by Juniper, Euphorbias, Blue Fescue, and succulents.
